The Yale PT-A is the further development of our current PT hand lever hoist for everyday use, especially under extreme conditions. New enclosed handwheel design protects internal components from water and dirt for improved weatherproofing. New forked safety latch allows for better seating of the latch in the hook to better prevent disengagement or damage to the latch. Now featuring a shorter lever for 1600 kg units, the Yale PT-A hoist portfolio is ideal for use in applications with space constraints and is easy to transport.

Features

  • Due to optimized gearing and improved bearings in the housing cover a minimum effort is required to operate the hand lever.
  • Even today, the load pressure brake, based on the principle of Thomas Weston’s patent of 1875, is still used in our manual hoists.
  • Impact resistant stamped steel frame withstands repeated rigorous use.
  • The load chain runs in the load sheave and is secured against unintentional slipping by the closed chain guide.
  • Comfortable rubber grip provides for extra protection against slippage.
  • For quick take up and positioning of slack chain – even with one hand. Designed not to accidentally free chain while under load.
    Cast chain end stop allows the user to easily position the chain in free-chaining mode and prevents it from entering the liftwheel and jamming the hoist.
  • Robust chain guide, chain stripper and parts of the brake are zinc-plated and yellow-chromated for corrosion protection in extreme conditions.
  • Bolt on swivel hooks simplify the inspection process. Hooks are forged, allowing them to yield under overload without breaking.
    For added safety, the Yale PT-A now includes a forked latch that allows for better seating of the latch in the hook to prevent disengagement or damage to the latch.
